The Urban Development Institute has acted as the voice of the real estate development and building industry in Canada for almost 50 years. A national non-profit organization supported by its 1,500+ corporate members, UDI serves as a forum for knowledge, advocacy and research on land development, housing and urban affairs.


The Urban Development Institute of Canada represents developers, property managers, financial institutions, lawyers, engineers, planners, architects, appraisers, real estate professionals, local governments and government agencies, involved in an industry which is responsible for more than $75 billion annually in economic activity. UDI Canada is affiliated with many similar organizations internationally and currently has 6 provincial/regional chapters across the country.
